CESS-Danmark A/S sells off PeakOptical
CESS-Danmark’s success product PeakOptical has been sold to a group of Danish investors in the company PeakOptical Technology A/S. PeakOptical has since its launch, just 15 months ago, established itself as a distinctive name within components for fiber optic networks and cabling. We now have to focus on international expansion, says the new owners.
CESS-Danmark A/S sells the rights to the entire PeakOptical product line to a new company consisting of two Danish investors, Claus Matthiesen and Per Strandvig Sorensen. The two investors have formed the company PeakOptical Technology A/S, which will focus on marketing, sales and support of PeakOptical products on the home market and abroad. The new owners have many years of experience in the IT industry. Claus Matthiesen and Per Strandvig Sorensen are, for example, the previous owners of the company Connect Partner A/S, which in 2004 was sold to TDC.
Huge market and potential for PeakOptical Technology A/S:
Per Strandvig Sorensen, Director of the newly founded company, says:
"PeakOptical technologies have proven their worth with a wide range of clients both domestically and abroad. On several parameters PeakOptical’s technology is superior to the competitor’s, and it gives us an interesting position in a market, which internationally is very large."
He places particular emphasis on the fact that CESS-Danmark A/S already has signed agreements with a series of major suppliers of IT infrastructure, such Lemvigh-Müller domestically. Internationally, CESS-Danmark A/S has, among other, marketed and sold PeakOptical through a separate company in Croatia.
Focus on foreign markets:
From CESS-Denmark Nikolaj Johansen says:
"It is with great pleasure that we pass over the PeakOptical rights. As a global IT supplier, it is our task to keep the focus on our competencies and PeakOptical product line has potentials that best can be exploited by capacities as Claus Matthiesen and Per Strandvig Sorensen. We believe that they can establish a company, which in a relatively short time will become an important international player in the networking market."
Per Strandvig Sorensen and the new chairman Claus Matthiesen will now work diligently to strengthen PeakOptical as a brand and boost the development of the international distributor network. PeakOptical Technology A/S will be based in Copenhagen. The parties do not wish to disclose the purchase price.
